Set up: create a user profile in our application hub.

The basics: tell us about yourself & the best way to contact you.

Written application: answer 2 written questions.

Interview: virtual students will record 1 video response & in-person students will be invited to a group interview by their city director.

Decision: your application will be reviewed by TKS. Payment required to secure your spot.

What we look for

 During the application process, we focus on three key traits: 

Curiosity: You love learning about science, tech, and how the world works. You don’t need to know everything, but you’re excited to ask questions and explore new ideas.
Drive for Impact: You want to solve big challenges and make the world better. You're excited about the future and ready to explore unconventional paths.
Willingness to Work Hard: TKS isn’t passive learning—it’s about doing. You’re ready to put in the effort, build things, break things, and try again until you make progress.

Application process

We want you to get into TKS, and our process is simple and transparent. There are two steps:

1. Written Questions (20 minutes)

Teach us something: Share a topic you’re excited about—it doesn’t have to be tech-related.
What are you proud of? Tell us about an accomplishment, a challenge you overcame, or a project you built.
Why TKS? Let us know why you want to join.

2. Interview (20 minutes)

Virtual program: Record a short video response.
In-person program: Join a group interview with your city director.
